Brambles (Rubus)
Includes: Blackberries, raspberries, dewberries, black raspberries, wineberries.

Berries: Anti-inflammatory. Contain citric acid, malic acid, pectin, fruit sugars, Vitamins A, V1, & C. Naturally acidic enough to be water bathed.

Leaves: Astringent, diuretic, mucilaginous. Contain polypeptides, flavonoids, tannins. Used in pickled products to preserve crunchy texture of fruits or vegetables.
Alliums
Includes: Onions, garlic, chives, leeks, ramps, shallots.

Medicinal Qualities: Digestive stimulant, expectorant, anthelmintic, carminative. Contain volatile oils, sulfur glycosides.
